Wexford
Lifeboat saves lives in Wexford Harbour
and along
the river Slaney in the south-east of Ireland.
Its strong crew of 2 women and 10 men are
on 24-hour call, and maintain a very fast
response time.
In July 2005, Wexford was one of the first
lifeboat
stations to recieve the newly designed and
constructed
ILB1 lifeboat named the "Phillip Robert
Booth".
Wexford also hopes to build its permanent
station
in 2006, which will be possitioned alongside
Wexford bridge
in Wexford town.
So far this year, Wexford lifeboat has responded
to 14 calls.
